PSD to EPS: formats and conversion tips
PSD
PSD is an image-editing format used for artwork and layered designs. Converting it to a common image format makes the finished picture easier to view and share.
EPS
EPS stores page-based artwork or documents. Export pages as images for sharing, or choose a page-capable output format when you want to keep several pages together.
Layered artwork is exported as a flattened image. Editable layers are not preserved.
EPS does not support transparent backgrounds. If your image has transparent areas, they will be filled with your chosen background colour.
Exported pages contain images, not editable document text or original drawing objects.
For files with multiple pages or frames, choose whether to keep them together, select one or export separate files. The destination format must support your choice.
Questions about converting images
Are my files uploaded?
No. Your browser processes the files on your device. Conversion does not send your images to a server.
Will converting PSD to EPS improve image quality?
Changing the format cannot restore detail already lost. Keep the original dimensions to avoid unnecessary resampling; lossy output formats can discard additional detail.
