Turn a link into a QR code
A QR code lets someone open your website by scanning an image instead of typing an address. Use a link to your menu, booking page, event details or online document. Plain text works too: the scanner displays the text rather than opening a website.
Enter your content, check the preview and download PNG or SVG. PNG is convenient for documents; SVG stays sharp when resized for print. Keep the code square with a clear white border. Before printing a batch, scan a sample at its intended size.
Questions about creating QR codes
- Is it free to create and download a QR code?
- Yes. You can create QR codes and download PNG or SVG without an account or subscription. No watermark is added to the code.
- Will my QR code expire?
- The image has no built-in expiry or scan limit. It stores your content directly, without an Online Utilities by linxi.com.au redirect. If it links to a website, that website still needs to remain available.
- Can I change the link after printing?
- Not inside an already generated code. If the address changes, create and print a new code. You can update the contents of the destination page without changing its address.
- Why won't my phone scan the code?
- Keep the full image and its white border, avoid stretching it and use a larger print size if needed. Check the address for typing errors. Most recent phones can scan ordinary QR codes with their camera.
