JSON Minifier
Minify JSON in your browser: remove indentation and extra whitespace, preserve large integers and string contents, then copy or download compact JSON.
Your result will appear here.
How to minify JSON
- Paste valid JSON. Minify is already selected.
- Leave key sorting off to preserve the original order, then minify.
- Copy or download the compact JSON. Switch to Format to make it readable again.
Working with JSON Minifier
Minification removes whitespace between JSON tokens, not spaces inside strings. This tool preserves numeric literals, including integers beyond JavaScript’s safe range. Object keys stay in their original order unless you enable sorting. The result is compact JSON, not gzip, encryption or a digital-signature canonicalization format.
Example: formatted JSON reduced to one line
- Input
{ "message": "Hello, world! 👋", "id": 9007199254740993, "enabled": true }- Result
{"message":"Hello, world! 👋","id":9007199254740993,"enabled":true}
Questions about JSON Minifier
Are spaces and line breaks inside strings removed?
No. String contents and escape sequences are preserved. Only whitespace outside strings is removed.
Will large integers or decimal values change?
No. Numeric literals are retained exactly instead of being converted through JavaScript floating-point numbers.
Can this remove comments or fix invalid JSON?
No. Comments, trailing commas and duplicate object keys are rejected. Fix the reported issue before minifying; values are not silently discarded.
Is minified JSON compressed or encrypted?
Neither. It remains readable JSON. Gzip and Brotli are separate compression methods; minification does not hide secrets or produce canonical JSON for signatures.
Are my files, tokens or text uploaded?
No. These tools process your input in your browser. The website serves the page and its code, but your input is not sent to a conversion server or saved in an account.
