UUID & GUID Generator
Generate UUID v4 or v7 in your browser. Create up to 1,000 GUIDs at once, copy one ID per line or download the list. No account or server-side generation.
Your result will appear here.
How to generate UUIDs or GUIDs
- Choose v4 for random identifiers or v7 for identifiers with a time-ordered prefix.
- Set the count from 1 to 1,000 and generate a fresh batch in your browser.
- Copy the newline-separated IDs or download the list. Do not reuse the fixed examples shown below.
Working with UUID & GUID Generator
UUID v4 uses cryptographically secure randomness. UUID v7 includes a millisecond timestamp and is useful for time-ordered identifiers. UUID and GUID commonly refer to the same identifier format; neither is a replacement for an access-control secret.

Questions about UUID & GUID Generator
Should I use UUID v4 or v7?
v4 is random and does not encode a creation time. v7 starts with a Unix millisecond timestamp, making it useful for time-oriented ordering. Choose the version supported by your database or application; v7 exposes approximate generation time.
Are GUID and UUID the same thing?
GUID and UUID commonly refer to the same 128-bit identifier. This tool outputs lowercase hexadecimal in the usual 8-4-4-4-12 grouping, with hyphens and no braces. The version digit is 4 or 7.
Can I generate UUIDs in bulk, and are they guaranteed unique?
Generate 1 to 1,000 per batch, one per line, then copy or download them. Proper random generation makes collisions extremely unlikely, not impossible. Keep a uniqueness constraint when identifiers become database keys.
Can I use a UUID as a password or access token?
Treat these as identifiers, not credentials. Knowing an ID must not grant access by itself. v7 also reveals time information. Use a purpose-built secret generator and proper authorization for passwords, sessions and access tokens.
Are my files, tokens or text uploaded?
No. These tools process your input in your browser. The website serves the page and its code, but your input is not sent to a conversion server or saved in an account.
