Using Australia Post 4-State

The first two digits are the format control code (FCC), followed by an 8-digit delivery point identifier (DPID). Supported FCCs are 11, 45, 59 and 62. Customer data may use A–Z, a–z, 0–9, spaces and #. Padding, error-correction data and start/stop bars are added automatically. This is a mail-sorting barcode, not a parcel-tracking number.

Download PNG for documents or SVG for a sharp, resizable print layout. Generation takes place in your browser, without an account.

Questions about Australia Post 4-State

Can I use a four-digit Australian postcode instead of a DPID?
No. A DPID identifies a delivery point and is not the postcode. Obtain the correct DPID through your address-processing workflow. This tool does not look up or verify addresses, supply DPIDs, pay postage or book deliveries. The sample is for testing.
What should I check before posting?
Check the required FCC, data, bar dimensions, clear space and position against Australia Post’s specifications. Print a sample at the final size without stretching. A barcode image alone does not establish postal acceptance.
