HIBC Data Matrix generator
Turn prepared HIBC product data into a square Data Matrix label. Preview it and download PNG or SVG without registering.
Create a square HIBC label for healthcare products
Use this format when your healthcare labeling system calls for HIBC Data Matrix. In the sample, A999 is the labeler code (LIC), BJC5D6E7 the product code and 1 the packaging level. Replace them with your assigned LIC and actual product data. The generator adds + and a Mod 43 check character; it does not assign identifiers or validate the HIBC field structure.
Download PNG for documents or SVG for a sharp, resizable print layout. Generation takes place in your browser, without an account.
HIBC Data Matrix questions
- How is HIBC Data Matrix different from GS1 DataMatrix?
- Both use Data Matrix squares, but their data rules differ. HIBC uses a + prefix and HIBC check character; it does not convert GS1 fields such as (01). Choose GS1 DataMatrix for GS1 data. Use a 2D reader configured for HIBC and test a printed sample: a preview alone does not establish UDI compliance.
- How do I check the code before printing?
- Leave the white margins intact, keep the image in proportion and scan a sample at its final printed size with the device you intend to use.
