Interleaved 2 of 5 barcode generator (ITF)
Create ITF barcodes for numeric stock references or internal labels. Download PNG or SVG.
Using Interleaved 2 of 5 (ITF)
Interleaved 2 of 5, often shortened to ITF, is a striped barcode for numbers. Use it when a scanner or receiving system expects this format. It is not the same as selecting ITF-14 for a product’s 14-digit GTIN.
Download PNG for documents or SVG for a sharp, resizable print layout. Generation takes place in your browser, without an account.
Questions about Interleaved 2 of 5 (ITF)
- Why does the barcode contain an extra digit or a leading zero?
- This generator appends a calculated check digit. ITF encodes digits in pairs, so it also adds a leading zero when needed to make the total even. Check the scanned result against your system’s expected length and check-digit rules; do not assume it is identical to the number you typed.
- How do I check the code before printing?
- Leave the white margins intact, keep the image in proportion and scan a sample at its final printed size with the device you intend to use.
