HIBC Code 128 barcode generator

Create HIBC Code 128 labels from prepared healthcare product data and download PNG or SVG for printing.

Make a Code 128 label with HIBC healthcare data

Choose this format when your healthcare labeling system requires HIBC data in Code 128 bars. In the sample, A999 is the labeler code (LIC), BJC5D6E7 is the product code and 1 identifies the packaging level. Replace them with your assigned LIC and actual product data. The generator adds + and the Mod 43 check character; it does not assign identifiers or validate the HIBC field structure.

Download PNG for documents or SVG for a sharp, resizable print layout. Generation takes place in your browser, without an account.

HIBC Code 128 questions

Is HIBC Code 128 the same as GS1-128 or ordinary Code 128?
No. All three use Code 128 bars, but their data rules differ. HIBC Code 128 uses the HIBC prefix and check character; it does not turn GS1 fields such as (01) into a GS1-128 label. Choose GS1-128 for GS1 data, or ordinary Code 128 for general text. A preview does not prove UDI compliance: verify your label data and scan a test print before use.
How do I check the code before printing?
Leave the white margins intact, keep the image in proportion and scan a sample at its final printed size with the device you intend to use.
