USPS POSTNET barcode generator for ZIP codes
Create legacy USPS POSTNET barcodes from ZIP code data and download PNG or SVG for sample labels, archives and compatibility tests.
Using USPS POSTNET
POSTNET represents postal-routing digits with tall and short bars. It carries destination information, not a parcel-tracking number. Use it to reproduce older mailing layouts or test systems that still read POSTNET; it is not a substitute for Intelligent Mail barcode (IMb).
Download PNG for documents or SVG for a sharp, resizable print layout. Generation takes place in your browser, without an account.
Questions about USPS POSTNET
- Is POSTNET the right barcode for a new USPS mailing?
- Not for current automation-price eligibility: USPS replaced POSTNET with Intelligent Mail barcode (IMb) for that purpose. Follow the current requirements for your mail type. This generator does not validate an address, buy postage or create a shipping label.
- How do I check the code before printing?
- Leave the white margins intact, keep the image in proportion and scan a sample at its final printed size with the device you intend to use.
