DAFT four-state barcode generator

Draw a custom four-state barcode from a DAFT sequence. Preview the bars and download PNG or SVG for test labels and layouts.

Draw the four bar shapes directly

DAFT lets you specify the bar pattern directly: D extends down, A extends up, F spans the full height and T is the short middle bar. It is useful when you already have a four-state sequence to reproduce. It does not turn addresses or tracking numbers into postal data.

Download PNG for documents or SVG for a sharp, resizable print layout. Generation takes place in your browser, without an account.

Questions about DAFT barcodes

Does a DAFT pattern make a valid postal barcode?
Not by itself. This tool draws your sequence without adding postal fields or check characters. For an actual mailing, use the format your postal service requires, such as Royal Mail RM4SCC or USPS Intelligent Mail. For ordinary text labels, choose Code 128.
How do I check the code before printing?
Leave the white margins intact, keep the image in proportion and scan a sample at its final printed size with the device you intend to use.
