Rectangular HIBC Data Matrix generator
Create a rectangular HIBC Data Matrix for healthcare product labels. Preview prepared data and download PNG or SVG.
A lower-profile HIBC code for wide labels
Choose this variant when your HIBC labeling system calls for a rectangular symbol and the label has more width than height. It uses the same HIBC data rules as the square version, not a stretched square image. The generator adds + and a Mod 43 check character. Use your assigned labeler code (LIC) and actual product data: rendering does not validate HIBC field structure or UDI compliance.
Download PNG for documents or SVG for a sharp, resizable print layout. Generation takes place in your browser, without an account.
Rectangular HIBC Data Matrix questions
- What if my HIBC data will not fit the rectangle?
- Rectangular Data Matrix has less capacity than the larger square sizes. If you get a length error, try HIBC Data Matrix; increasing the image scale does not add capacity. Do not remove required data just to make it fit. Keep the code in proportion with its white margins and test a print with a 2D reader configured for HIBC.
- How do I check the code before printing?
- Leave the white margins intact, keep the image in proportion and scan a sample at its final printed size with the device you intend to use.
