Ultracode colour barcode generator

Create an Ultracode colour barcode from an identifier or short text and download it as PNG or SVG for your label.

What makes Ultracode different

Ultracode uses coloured cells to carry data. It is a separate 2D barcode format, not a QR code with decorative colours. This generator chooses the size automatically and uses EC2 error correction. For links intended for ordinary phone cameras, choose a QR code instead.

Download PNG for documents or SVG for a sharp, resizable print layout. Generation takes place in your browser, without an account.

Ultracode printing and scanning

Can I print Ultracode in black and white?
No. Its colours are part of the encoded information, so greyscale printing or recolouring can make it unreadable. Print the PNG or SVG in colour, keep the white margin and test the actual label with an Ultracode-compatible reader. A clear-looking preview does not verify print quality.
How do I check the code before printing?
Leave the white margins intact, keep the image in proportion and scan a sample at its final printed size with the device you intend to use.
