GS1 DataBar Truncated Composite Generator
Create a low-height GS1 DataBar composite label with a product GTIN and serial number. Download PNG or SVG.
A low-height product code with a serial number
Truncated uses a lower-height product barcode to fit labels with limited vertical space. It still carries the full GTIN; no digits are removed. The composite adds a 2D component above for extra GS1 data, such as a serial number. This tool creates both parts together.
Download PNG for documents or SVG for a sharp, resizable print layout. Generation takes place in your browser, without an account.
Questions about Truncated Composite
- Is Truncated Composite suitable for checkout scanning?
- Not for omnidirectional retail checkout scanning. Use it when the receiving system specifically requires this format and supports GS1 Composite. The lower bars do not mean a shorter product number. Do not squash another barcode image to imitate it; generate the required format and test the printed label with the intended scanner.
- How do I check the code before printing?
- Leave the white margins intact, keep the image in proportion and scan a sample at its final printed size with the device you intend to use.
