GS1-128 Composite Barcode Generator

Create a GS1-128 composite label with an SSCC, product contents, quantity and batch. Download PNG or SVG.

Logistics-unit ID and contents on one composite label

GS1-128 Composite combines a linear barcode with an additional 2D component. This example puts the logistics-unit identifier in the lower bars and the contents, quantity and batch above. Ordinary GS1-128 already supports several GS1 fields in one barcode; choose Composite when the receiving system specifically requires the two-part label. This tool renders your data; it does not allocate an official SSCC.

Download PNG for documents or SVG for a sharp, resizable print layout. Generation takes place in your browser, without an account.

Questions about GS1-128 Composite

Will an ordinary barcode scanner read the whole label?
Not necessarily. A reader may scan only the lower GS1-128 component and miss the upper data. Reading both parts requires GS1 Composite support in the equipment and receiving software. Use the data placement required by your trading partner, keep both components and their separators together, and test the final printed label.
How do I check the code before printing?
Leave the white margins intact, keep the image in proportion and scan a sample at its final printed size with the device you intend to use.
