Compact PDF417 barcode generator (Truncated PDF417)
Create Compact PDF417 labels from order numbers or prepared text, then download PNG or SVG.
Using Compact PDF417
Compact PDF417, also called Truncated PDF417, saves width by shortening the right-hand edge of a PDF417 symbol. Use it when space is limited and your reader supports this variant. It is a barcode format, not a PDF file converter, and it is different from MicroPDF417.
Download PNG for documents or SVG for a sharp, resizable print layout. Generation takes place in your browser, without an account.
Questions about Compact PDF417
- Should I choose Compact PDF417 instead of ordinary PDF417?
- Choose it only when your receiving system accepts Compact PDF417. The shorter edge has less redundancy to help the reader locate the symbol, so clean printing and undamaged labels matter. If no compact format is required, use ordinary PDF417 and test at the final size.
- How do I check the code before printing?
- Leave the white margins intact, keep the image in proportion and scan a sample at its final printed size with the device you intend to use.
