Code 39 Extended barcode generator
Create Code 39 Extended labels for references with uppercase and lowercase letters. Download PNG or SVG.
Using Code 39 Extended
Code 39 Extended, also called Code 39 Full ASCII, adds lowercase letters and extra symbols to ordinary Code 39. Some characters take two barcode characters to represent, making the label wider. Choose it when your equipment requires this format, and test at the final print size.
Download PNG for documents or SVG for a sharp, resizable print layout. Generation takes place in your browser, without an account.
Questions about Code 39 Extended
- Why does my scanner return symbols instead of lowercase letters?
- Enable the reader’s Code 39 Full ASCII mode if it supports it. A reader set to ordinary Code 39 can return the character combinations instead of the intended text. Check that the scanned result matches your input exactly. For multilingual text or a link opened by a phone camera, choose QR instead.
- How do I check the code before printing?
- Leave the white margins intact, keep the image in proportion and scan a sample at its final printed size with the device you intend to use.
