Deutsche Post Leitcode barcode generator

Create Deutsche Post Leitcode (DHL Leitcode) barcodes for parcel-routing labels and download PNG or SVG.

Using Deutsche Post Leitcode

Leitcode carries a 5-digit postal code, a 3-digit street identifier, a 3-digit house number and a 2-digit product code, followed by a check digit. It helps the German postal system sort parcels by destination; Identcode identifies the individual parcel.

Download PNG for documents or SVG for a sharp, resizable print layout. Generation takes place in your browser, without an account.

Questions about Deutsche Post Leitcode

Can I create a Leitcode just by entering a delivery address?
No. A written address is not valid input. You need the numeric routing data from your carrier or shipping system, including its street identifier and product code. This tool draws those digits as a barcode; it does not look up addresses or create a paid shipping label.
How do I check the code before printing?
Leave the white margins intact, keep the image in proportion and scan a sample at its final printed size with the device you intend to use.
