Create HIBC Code 39 labels for healthcare products
HIBC Code 39 uses Code 39 bars with the HIBC healthcare data format. In the primary-data example, A999 is the labeler code (LIC), BJC5D6E7 is the product code and 1 is the packaging-level identifier. Use your assigned LIC and actual product data, not the sample. The generator adds + and calculates the Mod 43 check character; it does not assign identifiers or verify that the fields follow the supplier labeling standard.
Download PNG for documents or SVG for a sharp, resizable print layout. Generation takes place in your browser, without an account.
HIBC Code 39 questions
- How is this different from ordinary Code 39?
- Choose HIBC Code 39 when your healthcare labeling system requires HIBC data. It adds the HIBC prefix and check character automatically, so do not paste an already completed barcode string. For a general inventory reference, use ordinary Code 39 instead. A generated image alone does not establish UDI compliance; check the label data and scan a test print with your intended reader.
- How do I check the code before printing?
- Leave the white margins intact, keep the image in proportion and scan a sample at its final printed size with the device you intend to use.
