PostNL KIX barcode generator
Create a PostNL KIX barcode for Dutch mail. Enter prepared address data, preview the bars and download PNG or SVG for your mailing layout.
Using PostNL KIX
KIX adds machine-readable destination data to a written postal address. For Dutch addresses it combines the postcode with the house, PO Box or reply number and any house-number suffix. It is a sorting code, not a parcel tracking number. Unlike Royal Mail RM4SCC, KIX has no check character or start/stop bars.
Download PNG for documents or SVG for a sharp, resizable print layout. Generation takes place in your browser, without an account.
Questions about PostNL KIX
- Can I paste a complete address to get a KIX code?
- No. Assemble the KIX data first; this tool encodes it without looking up or verifying the address. A successful preview confirms that the characters can be encoded, not that the destination exists. Follow PostNL’s rules for the data, print size, clear space and placement before using it on mail.
- What should I check before posting?
- Check the KIX content against the written address, and follow PostNL’s requirements for bar dimensions, clear space and position. Print at the final size without stretching. The generated image is not proof of postal acceptance.
